This course introduces you to creative and transformative approaches for teaching, learning, engaging, and communicating complex ideas within public spaces, from eco-pedagogies in arts and media to activist methodologies that challenge existing systems. This will include critical explorations of existing places of public learning and civic engagement with planetary issues, including in museums and galleries, schools, public spaces, community groups, social movements, cooperatives, and digital platforms.
You will develop practical skills for designing regenerative learning environments through transdisciplinary perspectives that break down disciplinary, geographic, and cultural hierarchies while addressing the ethical dimensions of emerging technologies in a digitally connected world.
This course is an option course in the Regenerative Futures minor.
