Course Summary
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to style fashion for editorial features in magazines, newspapers and other commercial materials. It requires the ability to create the concept, collaborate with photographer and creative team to arrange resources and requirements for the photo shoot, complete post-shoot activities, and evaluate and promote fashion styling work. This unit applies to stylists who provide fashion styling services for fashion editorial features, coordinating outfits for models and select accessories and props and prepare them for photo shoots. These stylists develop the concept in consultation with an editor and work collaboratively with the director/photographer, hair stylist and makeup artist to put together a particular look or theme for the editorial feature.
