Digital Interior Practices explores digital processes, techniques, and environments relevant to contemporary interior design. You will engage with both emerging and established digital methods to visualise, generate, and communicate interior design concepts, contexts, and environments.

Through this course, you will develop, apply, and critically evaluate digital practices related to interior design. These practices will be explored across a range of diverse contexts, including exhibition design, retail design, installation design, event design, programming, digital environments, mixed realities, interface design, and surface design.

You may undertake this course as a Minor, which allows you to shape your own design profile and position yourself in relation to specific digital skills and approaches within interior design practice.

You will undertake independent and collaborative project work that encourages design-led research, experimentation, and the development of ideas and techniques to produce innovative interior design outcomes.

Each semester offers a suite of different topics and options, and you will use a preferencing system to ballot for your preferred choice.

This course includes Industry Partnered Learning (IPL) activities, where you will have the opportunity to participate in authentic industry and community engaged activities and tasks to support your professional development. These may involve client and industry design briefs where you develop your projects within a scenario-based, simulated design practice environment.

The course is delivered by academic and industry professionals with expertise in interior design and related disciplines.
