This unit describes the performance outcomes, knowledge and skills required to produce geometric designs of both rural and urban roads in accordance with the relevant parts of Austroads Guide to Road Design (AGRD) series.

It requires the ability to apply the design features of intersections, horizontal and vertical alignment of roadway centrelines, superelevation and sight distance requirements and environmental considerations.
