You will examine the social and cultural meanings of housing versus home and their implications for sustainable housing policies. You will also situate Australian housing history within broader global and local contexts, considering colonisation, federation, globalisation, and the financialisation of housing. Finally, you will investigate different housing types and models of provision in Australia, and their relevance to planning practice.
