In Writing across Poetry and Performance, you will examine the conventions and expectations of both modes of practice while also exploring their commonalities. You will have the opportunity to assess your own affinity for each, and practise various techniques of their specialised forms. By experimenting with the different kinds of approaches that these modes typically include, you will enrich your understanding of their utilities and applications. Each form will be introduced through discussion of exemplary texts, generative prompts and workshopping of drafts. Based on these exercises, you will develop both a fuller creative work and a critical reflection on your experiments in form.
