This specialised finance trading course brings together major areas of finance theory in a practical, hands-on learning environment. You will engage with foreign exchange, treasury securities, fixed income, equities, and risk management through applied trading exercises, valuation tasks, and simulation-based decision-making in the RMIT Trading Facility. The course develops the ability to analyse market information, evaluate market structures and regulation, apply financial theory to real trading scenarios, and design and adapt trading strategies using industry-relevant technology. You will plan, execute, and reflect on trading activities while communicating outcomes in a professional manner and collaborating effectively in team settings. Consistent attendance, participation in classroom activities, simulations and assessments, will optimise learning outcomes. Assessment is conducted during classroom activities.
