In this course you will develop an ethical and critical approach to the analysis and development of policy, with an emphasis on historical and current implications for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.   

You will examine how policies are shaped by values and power, and how they can include or exclude, benefit or harm.

You will explore how assumptions, biases, and structures of inequality influence policy decisions and outcomes. The core capability developed here is the ability to identify what is often left unsaid or taken for granted in the development of policy.

You will learn to ask difficult but necessary questions about your own ethical practice and fairness, justice, and responsibility in policy making.
