Course Summary

Wellbeing is foundational to Quality Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC). In this course, you will examine how children’s and educators' wellbeing influence each other in everyday practice. You will learn how to apply the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF v2.0) and the National Quality Standard (NQS) to support safe, inclusive and responsive learning environments. You will work through authentic case scenarios in workshops, analyse psychosocial and cultural factors affecting educator wellbeing, and design practical strategies that strengthen child safety and a sense of belonging. This core course builds your capability to lead ethical and sustainable wellbeing practice as an early childhood teacher.

This is a core course in the Master of Teaching (Early Childhood) program.
