In this course, you will develop the knowledge and capabilities to respond to diversity in contemporary early childhood education through pedagogies that promote equity, participation and belonging. You will critically analyse socio-cultural, theoretical and policy perspectives that shape pedagogical responsiveness in diverse early childhood contexts, and evaluate systemic, ethical, and relational factors that influence children’s and families’ experiences in early childhood settings. Through analysis of authentic practice-based scenarios, you will exercise advanced professional judgement to plan ethically grounded responses to complex pedagogical challenges. You will design and justify a strategically coherent responsive pedagogy framework that aligns with equity principles, research evidence and relevant regulatory obligations.
