Course Summary

This course focuses on the design and implementation of automated workflows that bridge the gap between software development, data science, and system operations. It integrates advanced scripting techniques with the principles of DevOps and MLOps to create scalable, reproducible, and robust computing environments. You will master the use of Python and shell environments as "glue" technologies to orchestrate complex systems, manage cloud-native infrastructure, and build the automated pipelines essential for deploying artificial intelligence at scale. 

You will apply industry-standard practices—including containerisation, environment management, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) integration—to develop and refine high-performance scripts for real-world applications. The course emphasises the transition from experimental code to production-ready systems, focusing on data orchestration, task automation, and infrastructure as code. This prepares you to architect and justify the sophisticated automated foundations required for modern artificial intelligence (AI)-driven and technology-intensive environments.
