In this course, you will complete your Honours-level research project by analysing, interpreting and translating the data collected in the previous semester. Working closely with your supervisor and, where relevant, an industry or community partner, you will undertake advanced data analysis and critical interpretation to generate insights that address a real-world challenge within health, community or service contexts.
Throughout the course, you will deepen your understanding of evidence generation, research quality, culturally responsive research practices and ethical scholarship as you interpret complex real-world data. You will also explore approaches to knowledge translation, considering how research findings can inform practice, policy, service design and community outcomes.
You will further develop skills in academic writing, visual and oral communication, and critical reflection as you prepare to communicate your findings to academic, professional and community audiences. The course culminates in the production of a substantial research output that demonstrates rigorous analysis, clear interpretation and the ability to communicate new knowledge with relevance and impact.
This course contributes to your Work Integrated Learning and professional practice hours as you undertake research activities connected to contemporary health practice and industry priorities.
By the end of the course, you will have completed and disseminated a substantial research project that reflects the advanced analytical, research and professional capabilities expected of an Honours-level emerging health practitioner.
