In this course, you will learn how sensing, perception, actuation and intelligent systems are used to create modern mechatronic solutions for industry and manufacturing. You will explore how engineers select and integrate sensors, actuators and automation technologies to solve real engineering problems. You will also examine the role of artificial intelligence in industrial automation and consider the broader technical, social and financial impacts of these technologies. This course will help you build the knowledge and skills needed to design, evaluate and communicate mechatronic solutions in a professional engineering context.
If you are enrolled in this course as a component of your Bachelor Honours Program, your overall mark will contribute to the calculation of the Weighted Average Mark (WAM).
See the WAM information web page for more information.
