This course focuses on project management in pre- and post-disaster settings.
In this specialised field, you will be required to manage projects in an emergency context, including preparedness and reconstruction.
Disasters are also becoming more frequent and devastating. Affected communities, in Australia and abroad, need sophisticated project management skills and capabilities specific to disaster and emergency scenarios.
There is an increasing need for professionals that have skills and knowledge to work effectively and ethically on complex problems such as climate change. This includes being able to manage projects in disaster, crisis and vulnerable environments.
This course can be taken as a program option, elective, or as part of the ‘Project Management Practice’ Minor, ‘Applied Project Skills’ Minor or ‘Humanitarian Innovation’ Minor.
