Course Summary

In this course you will be introduced to a range of studio-based fashion practices, where you will work in a shared design environment using iterative and experimental approaches to fashion materials and processes. You will design and develop basic wearable fashion forms through foundational 2D and 3D design development, patternmaking and construction techniques. 

You will consider material selection and develop skills for documentation, reflection and communication. You will also be introduced to safe use of specialty equipment including industrial sewing machines. 

Career development learning 

In this course, you will also undertake learning activities/assessment to engage and connect you with industry relevant to your current studies and support your career development.
