Course Summary

In this course you will gain an understanding of how digital tools in the Adobe Creative Suite can be used for a range of applications in the fashion design industry. The course introduces you to digital design tools and techniques for ideating, communicating and producing fashion.  

Over the semester you will re-design a garment through a series of short project stages that introduce creative and contemporary fashion image making methods, technologies and tools to develop and communicate your design ideas.  

You will produce images such as photos, drawings, collages and fashion illustrations; material samples using digital technologies; and communicate your design narrative in a digital portfolio. 

On successful completion of this course, you will be able to identify appropriate digital tools and materials to produce a range of physical, digital and material outcomes for specific fashion design industry contexts.
