The Generative Architectural Design and Fabrication: Design Studio is undertaken in the context of the Architecture Design Studios course sequence. This studio-based course aims to develop, apply and test your architectural design skills through generative architectural design and fabrication.

This course has its own design focus and way of working, drawing on historical, theoretical, computational, fabrication and performance approaches within digital architecture.

Each Generative Architectural Design and Fabrication Design Studio develops a program of study to suit its studio theme, and teaching activities are developed accordingly to support that line of enquiry. You should refer to individual studio handouts for details of each program and its specific objectives.

As part of the Generative Architectural Design and Fabrication minor, this studio provides opportunities to extend and synthesise your skills developed in the supporting Generative Architectural Design and Fabrication 1 and 2 studio-based courses. Across different offerings, projects may engage a range of contemporary tools and workflows to explore the relationship between computational design, material systems and architectural fabrication.
