Course Summary

Generative Architectural Design and Fabrication 2 is undertaken within the Architecture Design Electives. This studio-based course aims to extend your computational design and digital fabrication skills to support your core Architecture Design Studios.

This course has its own design focus and way of working, drawing on historical, theoretical, computational, fabrication and performance approaches within digital architecture.

A balloting process assigns specific offerings within the Generative Architectural Design and Fabrication minor. Refer to minor-specific posters for semester details and objectives.

As part of the Generative Architectural Design and Fabrication minor, this course provides various skills in computational design and digital fabrication that support your work in the Generative Architectural Design and Fabrication: Design Studio and extend on skills developed in the Generative Architectural Design and Fabrication 1 studio-based course. Projects explore contemporary computational tools and fabrication workflows relevant to contemporary architectural practice.
