This course is undertaken in conjunction with HWSS2233 Work Integrated Learning 2. This capstone course includes seminars related to your Work Integrated Learning (WIL) placement experience in which your knowledge and skills will be applied and assessed in a workplace context and where feedback from industry and/or community is integral to your experience.
This capstone course provides an opportunity for you to prepare for and reflect on your transition from university to your professional career or research through exploring your developing professional identity and developing lines of inquiry. You will draw on skills and knowledge developed throughout your degree and complete a portfolio project where your professional self will be the subject, underpinned by theory, skills developed, professional ethics and the WIL experience.
The course is designed for you to apply and critically reflect upon the ideas, skills and graduate capabilities you have gained through your program. It will also help you to critically evaluate professional practices and organisational demands using scholarly ideas and your professional insights, with a particular focus on praxis.
The professional-self portfolio project will include a learning plan to guide your WIL experience, a professional learning resource, and critical reflection practice and guide.
By the end of this course, you should feel confident to move forward with your future career and/or further study.
