Depending on the program you are applying for, you may need to provide supporting documents and information like:
Academic records and statement of completion
Evidence of English proficiency
Supporting documents “like a resume or CV or personal statement” or folio
You may be required to complete a selection task which might include an interview, folio, pre-selection kit and/or supplementary information forms. Please check the entry requirements section of the course you are applying to for further information.
Timely applications close on 31 May. As soon as you are ready to apply, register here.
Note: some program areas may accept applications after this date. However, we recommend you apply by the timely closing date, so you don’t miss out on preferred classes.
Remember to jump on your computer to apply. It’s much easier than your phone or tablet, and better if you have documents to upload.
If you’re in a hurry and need to meet the application deadline, you can submit your application without having all your supporting documentation ready. Do remember to come back and upload all your documents as soon as you have them, as your application cannot be assessed until you have submitted all required documentation.
Once you submit your application, your status will change to ‘Under assessment’. Provided you have submitted all the required documentation, you can expect an outcome within 1 – 4 weeks.
During the assessment process, if a Selection Officer requires further information from you, a request email will be sent to your registered address and a notification will be visible on My Dashboard.
At RMIT, there are three application outcomes that you may receive:
Conditional Offer: You may receive a conditional offer if your full offer is subject to the provision of documents to meet the entry requirements for the program you have applied for.
If you are a current RMIT student, your conditional offer may be reliant on completion of your current studies and you will not be required to submit documents in this instance.
Full Offer: Once you have received a full offer, you will be sent a notification via email and My Dashboard for you to accept your offer.
Deny: If you receive a deny outcome, you will receive notification via email and My Dashboard containing the reason why your application was unsuccessful at this time.
You can find out more about these outcomes and other steps involved in the offer process here:
