Improve your employability with knowledge and practical skills in building and construction.
You'll gain an understanding of fundamental building skills and principles, and be exposed to common scenarios you’ll experience on the job.
The program will give you a competitive advantage when applying for entry level construction roles or when looking to pathway into a building apprenticeship.
You'll also be able to undertake further studies within building,construction and caprentry.

You will be taught in a combination of workshop and theory classes, with an emphasis on hand skills.
Ongoing assessment throughout the semester may include tests, oral classes, presentationsand practical assignments.
RMIT offers a variety of learning and teaching approaches including lectures, seminars, studios, workshops, presentations, group discussions and syndicate work.
You will have access to the Learning Hub and other online and digital resources through the myRMIT student portal.
You’ll be able to enter the building and construction industry as a general construction worker or labourer.
Most students go on to continue an apprenticeship in plumbing, carpentry, or other construction-related trades.
