When you successfully complete the Certificate IV in Photo Imaging you are guaranteed entry in the Diploma of Photography and Photo Imaging.
When you successfully complete the Diploma of Photography and Photo Imaging and achieve a minimum GPA 2.5, you are guaranteed entry in the Bachelor of Arts (Photography) and will receive 2 semesters of advanced standing (equivalent to 96 credit points).
If you achieve below the minimum GPA, you may still apply. You will be assessed on a case by case basis and credit is not guaranteed.
Graduates of the Diploma of Visual Arts can continue on to study the Diploma of Photography and Photo Imaging. The Diploma is offered as an additional year of full-time study.
You may be eligible to begin your studies at the Diploma level if you already hold a Certificate IV in Photography and Photo Imaging or have the relevant knowledge and skills. You must still apply for the Certificate IV, and will be assessed for entry into the Diploma.
Pathway into the degree
Graduates who complete the RMIT Diploma of Photography and Photo Imaging may apply for exemptions in the Bachelor of Arts (Photography).
