The highlight so far has been learning new skills – particularly computer programming – which provide a new challenge, complementing my statistical background and broadening my overall knowledge base.
I was looking to shift my career into a more analytical role and this program enabled me to refresh and extend the skills that I acquired in my undergraduate degree but hadn’t used for a few years.
The flexibility of the program appealed to me as I could personalise my degree to my interests and future direction.

The industrial research project provided me with the opportunity to complete an analytics project in biostatistics - a field that was interesting and that I might one day want to be working in.
I have always been interested in social issues so ultimately I hope to work for a research institute and to use my analytical skills to influence policy-making for the betterment of society.
