Overview

Learn stop motion animation with fun and easy hands-on tutorials and exercises.If you are ready to bring your ideas to animated life, this is the class is for you. Use your skills to stand out from the crowd with a personal aesthetic and enliven your online presence. Youll work with different materials and objects, and explore a range of techniques and principles using mobile devices and apps to create digital stop motion animation. People new to animation or those familiar with the medium are welcome to attend.

    Prerequisites

    No prior knowledge or experience is necessary for this introductory course.

    Materials supplied

    Basic materials required for the course will be provided. Extra materials will be required depending on what you intend to create in your animation. These items will be discussed and planned in class.

    Materials to bring

    Please bring a smartphone or tablet with a camera to the first class. The facilitator will then discuss what will be required for subsequent classes.

    Outcome

    On completion of this course, participants will have a good understanding of the techniques and production processes of stop motion animation and can put this into practice in developing their own unique animation projects.
