Learn Adobe Illustrator's advanced tools, functions, and techniques. This is an opportunity to practice techniques from Level 1 and then learn advanced tools and functions to take your skills to the next level. Participants will create detailed graphic outcomes through weekly exercises and tasks.

  • Arc, Spiral, Grid and Perspective Grid Tools
  • Pencil, Shaper, Brushes, Smooth and Eraser Tools

  • Free Transform/Distortion Methods
  • Gradient Mesh, Gradient Revision and Detailed Gradients
  • Graph and Blend Tools
  • Postscript Effects

    Is highly recommended Adobe Illustrator– Level 1 or equivilent experience is completed before undertaking this course. Level 2 is suitable for those that have intermediate knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.

    Materials supplied

    Materials required for the course will be provided. All relevant course notes are supplied with comprehensive instructions and exercises.

    Materials to bring

    Pen, paper and/or laptop for note taking. A USB flash drive for transferring and storing files.

    Suited to

    This course is designed for anyone who has intermediate knowledge of Illustrator and is interested in gaining further experience within and understanding of the program. Suitable for graphic artists, textile artists and illustrators and animators. Participants need 'a working knowledge' of Illustrator to navigate this course. Adobe Illustrator Level 1 is recommended prior to undertaking Level 2. This course is not suitable for those with no experience in Adobe Illustrator


    Participants will have an advanced understanding of the requirements in preparing images, familiarity with all tools available, and a deeper understanding of Adobe Illustrator.
