Learn the principles, techniques and disciplines for structuring and writing communication pieces that compel readers to read on.

In this practical, workshop-style course you will learn how to apply the key processes of effective communication and write sentences that bring ideas and images into clearer focus. The workshop component of the course will be a group project for all participants to write collaboratively in class, enabling all participants to actively apply the theory and techniques presented in the course.

    Course Presenter - Nicolas Di Tempora

    Nicolas is a freelance copywriter and editor (member of the Institute of Professional Editors). He is also a qualified teacher (Dip.Ed) and author of Copywriting In Action: From Concept to Completion.

    His professional writing career includes ad agencies J Walter Thompson, DDB and Saatchis. Today he runs his own writing, editing and co-writing business, DiTempora Communications. He combines his expertise in designing and delivering online, in-house and on campus writing courses to individuals and organisations throughout Australia.

    Outcome

    You will learn the six stages of structuring a clear communication piece, the ten principles of clear writing and the seven rules of how to judge effective communication. You will understand how to apply these guidelines to craft clear and purpose built communication pieces.
