Overview

Join experienced RMIT practitioners and explore facets of the fashion and textiles industry. Over four days, experiment with different media and learn how to conceptualise, document and organise your design ideas graphically.

  • Fabric/drape and understanding 3D form

  • Polishing” your portfolio
  • Graphic design enhancement with Photoshop/Illustrator

Prerequisites

No prior knowledge or experience is necessary for this introductory course.

Materials supplied

All relevant course notes are supplied with comprehensive instructions and exercises.

Materials to bring

Please bring pen/pencil and notebook for note taking, plus a full list of materials to bring will be sent through in your course confirmation letter (this includes paints, markers, coloured media, paper etc)

Suited to

Year 11 and 12 students as well as mature-aged students aspiring to study Fashion and Textiles at RMIT or other institutes.

Additional notes

If you are travelling from out of state it is highly recommended that you wait for your course confirmation letter before booking any flights.

Outcome

Participants will acquire the skills and knowledge to develop their own personal style of 'ideas generation' and be able to graphically communicate their 'journey' in preparation for a course selection process.
Upon finishing the course you will receive a RMIT Certificate of Completion. You can use this as a record to demonstrate the outcomes covered in the course.
