Discover the practical skills you need to identify your target customer and how to reach them. Learn about the major marketing channels available including PR, social and email, content marketing and digital advertising. This course is perfect for solo designers and fashion businesses who want to find the right customers and market their products and make more sales.

Course content

Morning session - Customer Discovery and Marketing Channels:

  • Create customer personas
  • Create an empathy map for each market subset
  • Create a customer journey and choose the best marketing channels for your business.
  • Describe your target market and several subsets of this market

Afternoon session - Best Practice Marketing and PR:

  • Choose the best marketing channels for their business
  • Utilise best practices for email, social media, PR and content marketing
  • Create PR, content marketing, social and email marketing campaigns
  • Measure results

Students will leave the course with a better understanding of how to identify their target customer and the practical skills to plan marketing campaigns to reach them. Students undertake practical and fun exercises in this hands-on workshop style class. Students will be introduced to the key concepts and tools before working in collaborative groups. There will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions and receive individual help.

Upon finishing the course you will receive a RMIT Certificate of Completion. You can use this as a record to demonstrate the outcomes covered in the course.
