With workplaces becoming increasingly multicultural, many employers are seeking more than just technical skills and experience - they're actively looking for employees who can work effectively in culturally diverse teams.
By completing this credential you'll learn to understand cultural perspectives and to recognise the unconscious biases and assumptions that can lead to prejudice, stereotyping and discrimination in society and the workplace.
You'll develop the ability to ask open-ended questions which builds appreciation of other cultures by exploring cultures different to your own.
You'll also develop strategies to overcome your own inherent biases, boosting your ability to interact comfortably and harmoniously with people from diverse backgrounds.

- Recognise different type of biases, in particular unconscious bias
- Provide examples of unconscious bias at the workplace and how they can have a negative impact on work productivity
- Distinguish between stereotypes and generalisations
- Critically analyse how assumptions, biases and stereotypes can lead to prejudice and discrimination
- Apply core behaviours (curiosity, respect and empathy) and practices essential to successful cross cultural interaction
