Student Charter

The Student Charter outlines the behavioural expectations of students and recognises RMIT’s responsibilities to students in accordance with the institution's core values.

The Student Charter is a practical document that recognises and reflects the complex and diverse nature of the University and its community.

The Student Charter's principles and structure reflect RMIT's core values as described in the University's Strategic Plan.

In addition to the Student Charter, RMIT staff and students are required to be aware of and abide by relevant government and state legislation and University statutes and regulations. The Student Charter, in association with the University's statutes and law, indicates what the University and its students can expect from each other. The University's mission is to create and disseminate knowledge to meet the needs of industry and the community and to foster in students the skills and passion to contribute to and engage with the world. The Student Charter reflects this mission.
