Course Description

In this course, you will be introduced to curriculum, assessment and reporting practices, and policies in schools and education systems. You will focus on curriculum, assessment and reporting for Victorian schools within the context of Health and Physical Education, and cross curriculum literacy and numeracy requirements.

You will explore theories and professional debates in curriculum, assessment and reporting relevant to your teaching career. You will respond to the complexities and practicalities met in constructing and implementing curriculum, creating and applying appropriate assessment, and providing clear reporting to learners and other stakeholders. This course enhances your professional skills as a competent, knowledgeable and active curriculum and assessment professional.

You will be actively engaged in a range of learning activities such as workshops, tutorials, seminars, project work, class discussion, individual and group activities. Teaching and learning may be face to face, online, or a combination of both.
