Course Description

In this course you will develop strategies to communicate your work in publication and performance formats, predominantly towards an outward-facing publication or event-based project in the format of a graduate showcase.

This course allows you to deepen your understanding of creative approaches, markets (from niche to mainstream) and contexts for fashion communication and position your work within this. You will apply conceptual, critical or creative thinking to produce a project that communicates your work to a specific audience/context. You will work collaboratively and individually in the assessment tasks of this course. Classes explore skills and concepts in image, film, performance, graphic design, curation, publishing and writing in the context of the contemporary fashion industry and related creative fields.

The main learning activities for this course are delivered across tutorial and workshop-based formats as well as individual and group consultations.

Please note that if you take this course for a bachelor honours program, your overall mark in this course will be one of the course marks that will be used to calculate the weighted average mark (WAM) that will determine your award level. See the WAM information web page for more information.
