Assumed Knowledge 
This is a capstone course in the BP354 Bachelor of Professional Communication program and should be completed in the final year of the program. 


Course Description

In this capstone course you will explore strategic communication, advanced project management and orienting your work towards industry, community and employment. Your learning is enabled through engaging in industry focused problem-based tasks which reflect current issues and needs in media and communication. 

Specifically, you will undertake a Work Intergrated Learning (WIL) Project, where you plan, research, develop and produce a professional communication project. You will draw on your knowledge and skills developed across your studies to produce a meaningful communication outcome. As part of this experince you will engage with and received feedback from industry practitioners on the planning and delivery of your project.  

This is a designated Work Integrated Learning (WIL) course for the Digital Communication major. This course includes a work integrated learning experience in which your knowledge and skills will be applied and assessed in a real or simulated workplace context and you will receive feedback from industry and/ or community is integral to your experience.

  3. Utilise team-work strategies to draw on diverse skills in digital and creative production to achieve client outcomes.  
  4. Critically reflect on your learning and how you are going to apply it to your future career and study.

Overview of Assessment

You will be assessed on how well you meet the course’s learning outcomes and on your development against the program learning outcomes. Assessment may include presentations, projects and may be done individually and in teams.

Assessment Task 3:  Innovation Blueprint, 40%, CLO:1, 2, 3, 4
