Course Description
This course focuses upon the global issues confronting organisations, leaders, managers and employees as national and international boundaries become less relevant. Issues covered will include the cultural, political and social change as it affects business issues, especially making business decisions, sustainability (including Sustainable Development Goals), and managing people in a global business environment.

On successful completion of this course, you will be able to:
CLO1 – Critically analyse issues and situations that reflect an understanding of the interlinkages between local, national and global dynamics.
CLO2 – Demonstrate an advanced and integrated understanding of the complex body of knowledge related to cultural and social adjustment in the context of living and studying in another culture.
CLO3 – Critically appraise, synthesise, and evaluate different disciplinary perspectives and their contributions to business beyond borders.
CLO4 - Communicate effectively using oral, written, and interpersonal communication to inform and effect change in the context of selected aspects of business practices and their comparison to business practices in the destination country.
Overview of Learning Activities
In this course, you will be encouraged to be an active learner. Your learning will be supported through various in-class and online activities comprising individual and group work. These may include quizzes; assignments; prescribed readings; sourcing, researching and analysing specific information; solving problems, conducting presentations, producing written work and collaborating with peers on set tasks or projects.

RMIT Library provides extensive resources, services and study spaces. All RMIT students have access to scholarly resources including course related material, books, e-books, journals and databases.
