In this course you will gain digital imaging skills to prepare photographic files for printing.

You will have the opportunity to tour the facility and see the life cycle of the modern printing process. |

Overview of Assessment
Assessment is ongoing throughout the course and will include a large scale project requiring pre/post analysis along with the preparation and processing of text and images
Assessment Tasks
To demonstrate competency in this course you will need to complete all of the following assessment to a satisfactory standard.
You will receive feedback on all assessment (refer to myRMIT for assessment criteria).
Assignment 1: Proposed Costs –

Ungraded Assessment
Using the supplied template, create a detailed estimation and breakdown of costs you will incur as part of your book project.
Assignment 2 - Prep for Print Critique 1
Due Week 9
Ungraded Assessment
Progressive One on One assessment of Book Project files by appointment.
Students are required to process and submit a minimum of 10 images. The Critique assess aspects of technical photographic capture, in relation to the acquiring of sufficient digital data for image process and potential output issues re layout and reproduction quality.
Students are also required to submit a font test and layout via photo copies
- Review of progress – editor/writers progress + sample copy
Files for critique session are to be prepped as
JPEG, 72dpi pixel width 800.
Label files with your initials_IMG number E.G. RG_01.jpg
This critique is part of your assessment.
