Course Description

This course describes the skills and knowledge required for workers to participate in safe work practices to ensure their own health and safety, and that of others as it applies to all workers who require knowledge of workplace health and safety (WHS) to carry out their own work, either under direct supervision or with some individual responsibility.

Assessment 1    Create a workplace health and safety checklist for working offsite with clients.   Assessment 2   Written response to a workplace health and safety issue  Assessment 3   Online knowledge quiz  Assessment 4   Complete an RMIT Incident Report and reflect on a WHS issue   Assessment 5   WHS treasure hunt in and around the RMIT City Campus.      You should refer to the assessment plan which is available on Canvas for details of each assessment task and for detailed assessment criteria.     This course is assessed in accordance with competency-based assessment.   To demonstrate competency in this course you will need to complete the following assessment tasks to a satisfactory standard.
