Course Description

In this unit you will develop the skills and knowledge required to source information on design history and theory, and to apply that information to your design work.

Overview of Assessment

Assessment is on-going throughout the course. Assessment will incorporate a range of methods to assess performance and the application of knowledge and skills.
Assessment tasks are:

  1. - Research in Art or Design Periods + Fashion Shoot Locations (Individual Assessment)
  2. - Design or Art Presentations (Group Assessment)

Assessment

Assessment tasks are either formative or summative.  Formative tasks provide the basis for ongoing feedback and can be considered essential building blocks for the more substantial summative assessment tasks.

Assessment Task 1 (AT01) – Art + Design Period Research - Individual Task.

Assessment Task 2 (AT02) – Art + Design Presentations - Team and Individual Task.

 

Assessment Tasks must be submitted electronically via the Student submission drive. 

Students must also remember to submit a signed and dated submission form with all Assessment Tasks submitted.

Special Consideration Policy, Late Submission & Extensions

All assessment tasks are required to be completed to a satisfactory level. If you are unable to complete any piece of assessment by the due date, you will need to apply for an extension.
