Course Description
This unit describes the knowledge and skills required to establish, lead and participate in a groups using a collaborative, strengths-based approach.
This unit applies to any individual involved in planning and leading group activities. Groups may be formal or informal.
This course is delivered and assessed in a cluster with CHCCDE003: Work within a community development framework

You will be given two (2) attempts for each assessment to demonstrate the required skills. Assessment Tasks
Students enrolled in Vocational Education and Training qualifications are assessed for Competency. To be assessed competent means you have consistently demonstrated the required knowledge and skills at a standard expected in the workplace. To be assessed as Competent in this course, you will need to complete each assessment task to a satisfactory standard. You will receive feedback from the teacher at the conclusion of each assessment task. You will be given two (2) attempts for each assessment to demonstrate the required skills. A third (3rd) attempt can only be offered after discussions between teacher and the Program Coordinator and is not automatic.
