Course Description
In this course you will learn the skills and knowledge required to apply work health and safety (WHS) requirements, including implementing safe work practices, participating in risk assessment and control, and following emergency procedures in the creative industries.

Details of Learning Activities
Apply work health and safety practices is co-delivered with Apply critical thinking to work practices. This co-delivered course runs over 9 weeks.
You will complete exercises, and you will also be required to undertake independent study.

Overview of Assessment
Assessment for this course is ongoing throughout the semester. Your knowledge and understanding of course content is assessed through participation in class exercises, oral/written presentations and through the application of learned skills and insights. Full assessment briefs will be provided and can be found on CANVAS.
Assessment Tasks
Assessment is on-going throughout the course. Assessment tasks will require you demonstrate the application of knowledge and skills through practical projects and/or exercises and activities.
The assessment tasks are: Practical project/s, procedures, written/oral reports and meetings.
Students will complete research, answer questions, fill required forms and communicate by completing a number of practical tasks. Each practical assessment will have a work-related task to be undertaken in a simulated workplace environment, the design studio environment.
