Course Description
In this course you will develop the skills and knowledge required to manage business risks in a range of contexts across an organisation or for a specific business unit or area in any industry setting.
The course applies to individuals who are working in positions of authority and who are approved to implement change across the organisation, business unit, program or project area. They may or may not have responsibility for directly supervising others.

Details of Learning Activities
In this course you will be undertaking work simulated environment tasks where you will be required to collaborate with your peers to formulate risk manage strategies for a given scenario. You will then develop a risk management plan that will assist you in managing risk inherent to your project.

Lesson Title: Context of the organisation
Description: This week we look how our operational process impact on the risks we inherit.
We consider an organisations strengths and weaknesses and how we can use them to determine the resources needed to ensure that the organisation can be successfully managed.

Teaching Schedule
One 1.5hr on-line lecture and one 2.5hr face to face tutorial.
There will also be a take home task each week handed out after the lecture for students to complete before the tutorial.
