Course Description
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to create systems and process to organise information and prioritise tasks. It applies to individuals working in managerial positions who have excellent organisational skills. The work ethic of individuals in this role has a significant impact on the work culture and patterns of behaviour of others as managers at this level are role models in their work environment.

Details of Learning Activities
A range of learning activities are planned for this course including self-paced and collaborative classroom based activities.
The self-paced activities will be delivered thought various technology platforms and include your contribution to wikis and discussion threads, reflective journals, quizzes and interactive sessions.
The collaborative classroom based activities will include group discussion, group problem solving activities and opportunities to practice your skills in a simulated/real workplace environment.
We expect you to participate and contribute in all scheduled learning activities.

Assessment Conditions
Assessment must be conducted in a safe environment where evidence gathered demonstrates consistent performance of typical activities experienced in the industry capability - workplace effectiveness field of work and include access to:

Purpose: The purpose of this assessment is for you to show how you can manage your work position by displaying your organisational skills. There is a work ethic required of you in your workplace and your role will have a significant impact on the work culture and patterns of behaviour of others. This assessment provides you with the opportunity to explore those skills necessary to work within a modern-day organisation.
Assessment Task 2 – WIL Journal
1500 Work Integrated Learning Journal in DIEP format + Written Questions

Purpose: The journal is about your learning experience. The purpose of this assessment is for you to explore how you can manage your work position by showing your organisational skills. You are expected to write a 1500 word reflective journal using the DIEP writing style as explained in RMIT learning lab instructions.You must complete all assessments to be deemed competent

Submission Requirements
You should:
- Ensure that you submit assessments on or before the due date.
- Always retain a copy of your assessment tasks. (hard copy and soft copy)
- When you submit work for assessment at RMIT University you need to use the Assessment task document that includes a declaration and statement of authorship.
- Each page of your assessment should include footer with your name, student number, the title of the assessment, unit code and title and page numbers.
Late Submission Procedures You are required to submit assessment items and/or ensure performance based assessment is completed by the due dates. If you are prevented from submitting an assessment item on time, by circumstances outside your control, you may apply in advance to your teacher for an extension to the due date of up to seven calendar days.
