Study Tours

Many students appreciate the opportunity to complete part of their program in an off-shore setting. Through its international affiliations, the Graduate School of Business provides students with regular opportunities to complete elective courses at our partner schools or at RMIT Vietnam.* Our international study tours are an excellent way to add colour to your MBA (Exec) program and gain overseas travel and cultural Globe imageexperience, combined with studies focusing on various aspects of a region or area of study.*

Participating in an intensive study tour gives you the opportunity to:

  • Acquire an appreciation of cross cultural issues
  • Critically appreciate and evaluate the relationship between global and national organisations and regulations
  • Gain experience on how to make culturally sensitive and ethical judgements
  • Work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary, collaborative team
  • Internationalise your MBA and gain credit for an elective course
  • For part-time students, complete the face to face component of a course and part of the assessment in one week of intensive study

Study tours are intensive periods of study undertaken overseas. They count towards assessment and therefore involve assessment tasks. These tasks may be required during or after the tour. Graduate School of Business study tours generally include site visits that give students exposure to industry experts and an insight into international practices, enterprises and standards. And of course, once you have completed the formal part of your study tour program you are free to continue with your travel in the region or around the world!

Upcoming GSB study tours

Note: the MBA program structure does not include electives. At present GSB study tours are only available to MBA (Exec) and MBA (Exec) Online students.
