English language providers

You may be able to meet RMIT’s English language requirements by completing preparatory studies at one of RMIT’s preferred English language providers.

English language providers

RMIT University Pathways (RMIT UP) English and RMIT Vietnam School of English & University Pathways are RMIT’s preferred English language providers.

Students may also meet RMIT English language requirements by completing an English language program from an RMIT-approved English language centre (see the table below).

Validity of evidence

Your studies from an English language provider must have been completed within two years of your RMIT course start date. If you have more than one form of evidence to demonstrate English proficiency, RMIT will assess only your most recent result.

Indicative score requirements by study level

The table below outlines which English programs are accepted for different RMIT study levels, and the indicative minimum IELTS equivalent score they meet as a guide. You should always check the course page for the exact English requirements for your chosen course.
