Course Description

This course describes the skills and knowledge required to provide person-centred services to people with disability with complex or special support needs under the supervision of a relevant professional

This course applies to workers in varied disability contexts. Work performed requires a range of well developed, person-centred skills where some discretion and judgement is required and workers will take responsibility for their own outputs.

This course is delivered and assessment with:

In this workshop information about the human body is covered including medical terminology how to correctly use that terminology to better understand the inter-relatedness of health conditions.   

We will consider how to recognise and promote ways to maintain healthy functioning of the body.  A range of conditions will then be examined, including mental health to determine the impact these conditions have.  This then leads to identifying how to provide person-centred services to people with disability to help determine a range of suitable options to support a person's needs, strengths, challenges and solutions.
