Regular attendance is necessary.

Assessment methods have been designed to measure your achievement of each competency in a flexible manner over multiple tasks and consist of and practical based tasks and a portfolio of work.

Assessment Tasks

Students enrolled in Vocational Education and Training qualifications are assessed for Competency. To be assessed as Competent means you have consistently demonstrated the required knowledge and skills at a standard expected in the workplace.

To be assessed as Competent in this course, you will need to complete each assessment task to a satisfactory standard. You will receive feedback from the teacher at the conclusion of each assessment task.

Results that apply to courses that are delivered and assessed in accordance with competency-based assessment are:

CA: Competency Achieved
NYC: Not Yet Competent
DNS: Did not Submit for Assessment

Assessment Task 1Product

The assessments for this unit will include preparing an oral health promotion program for a specific target group and then delivering the program to that group of 10 or more people.

Assessment Task 2Practical

The second stage of these assessments is to present your oral health program to your ‘target group’ and review your presentation.  You will be using the planning and resources that you created in Assessment 1.  Students must have successfully completed Assessment 1 before they can undertake this assessment.

Assessment Matrix

The assessment matrix demonstrates alignment of assessment tasks with the relevant unit of competency.
