This course describes the skills and knowledge required to research and explore a range of painting materials and processes to develop an individual professional style.

Visual Research Journal Task: Maquette construction. Document maquette construction /set up and painting progress.

Complete maquette and source light/torch.

Prepare prior to class in Week 3

Brief 1: Monochromatic painting. Painting from maquette.

Visual Research Journal Task: Pros and cons of working with a monochromatic palette.
