Australian Rules Football MCG
Come and see the Essendon Bombers and Fremantle Dockers battle it out at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), one of the great sporting arenas in the world. The game starts at 2:10pm. Welcome function

Storey hall, one of the oldest buildings at RMIT University, was recently renovated and extended, and is now a spectacular combination of the old and the very new. Like it or hate it, this award-winning building is well worth a visit.

Monday 5th July
Wine Tasting
free to delegates and registered accompanying persons
The name says it all. Cone and enjoy some wine and nibbles. Take the opportunity to chat with delegates and trade representatives in an informal setting.

Tuesday 6th July
Conference Dinner
$30 for delegates ($60 accompanying persons)
The dinner will be held at Albert on the Lake, a restaurant set in parkland and on the edge of Albert Park Lake. The park, only a short tram ride from the city, is the home of the Australian Grand Prix.

Friday 9th July
Yarra Valley Tour
(9am - 5:30pm) $105 (min 20 people)
This full-day tour takes a scenic route out to the Yarra Valley, one of Australia's premier cool-climate wine districts. First stop is the Healesville Sanctuary, home to more than 200 species of native animals in a bush setting. After a guided tour, it is lunch at Chateau Yering, a short drive away. After lunch, wine tastings will be held at Yering Station winery (Victoria's first vineyard) before the return to Melbourne.


Accompanying persons registered with the organising committee are cordially invited to attend the wine tasting with delegates, at no cost. Accompanying persons are welcome to select activities from the Conference Delegates' social program above and the tours listed below, for the indicated costs. Monday July 5th
Melbourne City Sights
(9am - 12:30pm) $45 (min 20 people)
Discover why Melbourne is known for it's old world charm, beautiful gardens and it's historic Victorian buildings. See the Old customs House and colourful Queen Victoria market and iron laced works of nearby terraced houses. Travel past Parliament House, St Patrick's Cathedral, Melbourne Cricket Ground, the National Tennis Centre (home of the Australian Open) before stopping at the Shrine of Remembrance. Visit the Royal Botanic Gardens before continuing through quaint inner city suburbs. The tour concludes with panoramic views of Melbourne from the Rialto Towers Observation Deck.

Tuesday July 6th
Melbourne Shopping Tour
(9am - 4:30pm) $65 (min 20 people)
An opportunity to discover why Melbourne is regarded as the fashion and shopping capital of Australia. Visit Melbourne Central, a shopping complex built around an historic shot tower, plus Australia on Collins. Discount booklets provided at each centre. Morning tea and lunch provided.

Wednesday July 7th
Melbourne's Golden Heritage
(8:30am - 5:30pm) $110 (min 20 people)
Much of Melbourne's early wealth can be traced to the discovery of gold in the 1850's. The spirit of these heady days lives on at Lal Lal Estate, a 5000 acre sheep and cattle station established in 1858. Afterwards visit Sovereign Hill, a gold mining township that operates today much the same as it did over a century ago. Morning tea and lunch provided.

Thursday July 8th
Penguin Parade and Koalas
(2pm - 11:30pm) $95 (min 20 people)
Travel down the South Gippsland Highway to fascinating Phillip Island. Visit the Koala Conservation Centre to view koalas in natural habitat before continuing on to Summerland Beach. Enjoy the antics of the world's smallest penguins at Australia's largest fairy penguin colony as they emerge from the surf with food for their young and waddle up the beach to their rookeries. Three course dinner included. Warm waterproof clothing recommended.
