RMIT University protects the privacy of any personal information volunteered by visitors to its websites, staff, students, and others who have rights to login to them.

RMIT complies with State and Commonwealth privacy legislation through the RMIT Privacy Policy in its handling of all personal information.

In accordance with the University Privacy Policy, Adrienne Patterson, Assistant University Secretary, has been appointed as the Privacy Officer. If you have any questions or wish to raise an issue with respect to privacy, you may contact her.

RMIT Privacy Compliance Training is now on line at

This training module takes about 30 minutes to complete and is now part of staff induction. It covers the basic requirements for compliance with RMIT’s Privacy Policy and with the Information Privacy Act (Victoria).
