RMIT values privacy and is committed to handling personal, sensitive and health information in accordance with the privacy principles contained in the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic) and other relevant legislation.
RMIT has a new globally relevant Privacy and data protection policy. The principles and requirements have not changed significantly but it’s a good time to read the policy and check privacy compliance in your area.
The Privacy and Data Protection Act has replaced the Information Privacy Act in Victoria. This change has no impact on RMIT as the 10 privacy principles haven’t changed and the new data security requirements are not applicable to universities.
