Dr Crystal Legacy’s research interests include participatory planning and infrastructure delivery, urban governance and strategic planning, growth paradigms and urban resilience, and planning tools.
She has a PhD in Urban Planning from the University of Melbourne and was a 2013 Vice-Chancellor’s Research Fellowship in 2013. She has been working for the past two years as a Research Associate in the City Futures Research Centre at UNSW, but is currently employed as a lecturer in the School of Global, Urban and Social Studies. Crystal has attracted research grants to the value of $140k and has published a book and over 20 book chapters, refereed journal articles or conference publications. She is a full member of the Planning Institute of Australia and has made panel and industry presentations. Dr Legacy was also successful in attracting an ARC DECRA.
