The BITS-RMIT Higher Education Academy marks the first dual-degree initiative between Australia and India, cultivating skills for a global careers.

BITS-RMIT Higher Education Academy

The BITS-RMIT Higher Education Academy delivers a high quality international education experience to Indian students while enriching the academic exchange between the two institutions.

In the first half of the degree, students will live and study at a BITS campus, in Pilani or Hyderabad. While in the second half-of the degree they complete their dual-degree in Melbourne Australia studying at RMIT University. This immersive experience paves the way for potential career opportunities in Australia, India and around the world.

In its initial phase, The Academy offers four undergraduate engineering programs featuring a dual-degree pathway and a PhD program.

Bachelor degrees are offered in:

  • Civil Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Electronics and Communication Engineering.

The Academy also includes a joint PhD program which offers co-supervision of candidates from both institutions, and a year at RMIT in Melbourne as part of the candidature.
